they are structurally sound to major HITS, but i've seen too many firsthand cases of the legs getting holes blown in them from internal PRESSURE during hard compression... when you see the wall thickness of the leg for yourself, youll see why i say they are paper thin and weak other than that, as i said, they are just friggin amazing forks! |

^^every floating/ virtual pivot has the same concept... VPP, DW, FPS, VF4P, you name it. and the bike youre looking for would be any Canfield.... this bike looks suuuper sick though! |

theyve got a very good reptation and their stuff really is the top of the line BUT their suspension products are extremely expensive, which makes them relatively unheard of... amazing stuff though, thats for sure |

so true though... but nobody wants em anymore because theyre heavy... which is structurally a good thing, but doesnt sell anymore... i could go for one tho! haha |

^^ sensible but yes, if i were to blow this much dough on a fork, i would buy a BOS... hands down |

sure buddy, i have no idea whatsoever find me one boxxer that doesnt feel like the damn stanchion is going to eat the leg alive and i will more than gladly eat every word i've ever said about boxxers! i never said that theyre an overall crappy fork, i just said that they feel like crap... otherwise their damping system and weight are friggin amazing! fool |

^^ and the NSX videos and everyone on a shiver/dorado in the early DropIn seasons... |

could be a good fork, could be a load of crap... look what happened with the '08 Zokie line... forks dot suck when they are put together properly... minscule mL's of oil will change the way any damping system performs, peoples '07 888SL's were having mega problems with the PAR system, not because it doesnt work, but because it wasnt assembled to exact specs before being put to work... i know from experience with that exact issue i dont know about the '08s so much, but i bet it is the same concept companies dont blow millions of dollars a year to put a product that sucks out on the market... this one isnt even out yet, so dont go bashing it until you actually put it to the the test... however expensive that test may be. boxxers, 888's, and 40's have their drawbacks too... boxxers feel like crap, but are featherweight. 888's feel amazing but need to be assembled perfectly. 40's are amazing, but are paper thin and weak... do each of these quirks make these forks better? not at all.... |

youll have better luck bending your 40 dude... bending a 42mm 8" fork? yeah, not quite... |

well the magazine would have to buy it from me... in doing so, they would gain rights to the pic and i would take my watermark off and just leave my name in fine print @ the bottom... |

i agree both with the focus of AB's bloggage and crispy1st's point... i am an ameteur photographer and i have hopes and dreams of becoming a recognized professional in many fields of photography... that said, i am obviously NOT a professional and dont know how i would act if i saw my work posted by someone without permission... if i were to try and prevent the theft of my work, i would watermark it or put a right click protection on it... this photographer obviously didnt do either of those, so its not all the fault of the secondhand poster and PB... and i also wouldnt be too worried about my work being on PB because the compression of the pics is so great... it really does a number on the quality! but good write up! i agree partially on both sides and i will defend both sides |

the stem is better! you know, three paper thin steel tubes welded together to make the ultimate wally-world 40mm stem? lmao, that thing is scary as hell, but so fun to ride... |

he's probably not too worried about those insanely expensive designs because he doesnt plow a bike like 80% of the consumers do... these designs pop out of the blue because they work better than ANYTHING, but only when one is just plowing the bike and not flowing too well... once people realize that the way you ride a bike determines how the bike and its components are going to react, they are going to finally say "hey i dont need to spend this shiatload of money for some new flashy technology i dont necessarily need!" and then companies like trek are going to dissappear from the downhill scene... sure it saves you when you get out of your flow in a race, but theres only one way to get better at preventing that, and that is to learn from mistakes, correct them and quit relying on your bike to do the work for you... nbd, i just like to rant... i know i'm not getting one though... theres more dependable ways to become a better rider and spending more than i make in a year is not it |

are they gonna sell the half kit for '07 888's as well? man that would be sick! |

damn, i wish i could come up there! i did something similar today at a local mountain that got burned in a wildfire... i just blasted down all 2500 feet of it and nearly sh*t my pants when i got in to the rocks that outnumbered visible dirt going 20mph!!! easily the scariest thing i've ever done, and now i'm hooked! damn i want to go to this |

all i needed was those 3mm bigger stanchions, and that was my selling point!
hopefully they dont have the gnarl stanchion grinding inside the leg... i imagine the bigger diameters will have sorted that out!
so sick, lovin the white too!
